Homework Helpers
Homework Helpers chapter based in Petersburg, VA.
Our Virginia chapter is dedicated to ensuring that every student gets the support they need to thrive—no matter their background or the challenges they face.
Founded by University at Buffalo football captain Red Murdock, this chapter was built on the belief that mentorship and academic support can change lives—on and off the field.
"With the support of some amazing peers from Homework Helpers, we've successfully opened a new branch in my hometown—a service I know the younger version of myself could have benefitted from. My goal is to provide students with extra support so they can not only thrive in the classroom but truly engage with the content being taught. The schools I attended had plenty of amazing teachers, but sometimes students—myself included—needed that extra time and individually tailored support. Whether it’s helping a student struggling to pass algebra or just giving them more confidence in their learning, I know this service will make a difference."
